Prof Roger Baker Roger Baker is Professor of Clinical Psychology at Bournemouth University and was formerly a consultant Clinical Psychologist with the Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust (now retired). He has worked in a dual role as researcher and clinical psychologist at Leeds, Aberdeen and Bournemouth Universities and in National Health Service Mental Health Trusts in the UK. Roger originally devised the Emotional Processing Scale and has lead the research team which developed the Emotional Processing Scale |
Dr Sarah Thomas Sarah Thomas is a Senior Research Psychologist at Bournemouth University, Deputy Director of the BUCRU, and an NIHR RDS consultant. She obtained her first degree and PhD in psychology from Southampton University and has been working in health services research for over ten years. She has been instrumental in the design, construction and reporting of the EPS from its start.

Prof Peter Thomas Peter Thomas is Professor of Health Care Statistics and Epidemiology at Bournemouth University, Co-Director of the Bournemouth University Clinical Research Unit (BUCRU) and consultant for the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Research Design Service (RDS). Peter has advised and directed on the methodological and statistical aspects of the EPS since its inception. |

Mariaelisa Santonastaso
Mariaelisa Santonastaso obtained her psychology degree at the University of Bologna, specialising in clinical and community psychology and with a thesis in ‘Emotional Processing Scale; validazione Italiana’. In 2010 she completed her PhD on a cross-cultural comparison of emotional processing in healthy participants and chronic pain patients from England, Italy and Japan and helped to gather and provide data on the scale. She is currently practising as a community and clinical psychologist in Sardinia. |
Eimear Corrigan
Eimear Corrigan is a psychologist with six years’ experience working as Research Publications Officer,at the Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust where she has supported the development of the Emotional Processing Scale through managing the international research collaborations and developing normative statistics for the scale. |
